Latest of excellent players
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design

"This is my 3rd LG DVD and they get better every time I upgrade. I started with the 1st DVD/HD/Blu-Ray player, then to the 200 series and now the BD390. The feature set is awesome! All of the new 7.1 sound protocols, streaming audio & video from the net & PC, wired & wireless, analog & digital sound outputs, component & HDMI video outs. Streaming Netflix, YouTube & more. Upgrades over the internet. Amazing. Blu-Ray live. The only CON is that LG dropped the HD-DVD format."

Beyond my expectations!!
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design

"I was undecided between the PS3 and a stand alone Blu ray player when I saw the BD390. It's so easy to use and connect and the quality is extraordinary. I think I made a great purchase! I have absolutely no complains!!"

First Blu-Ray Purchase
Pros: Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance
Cons: Features/Settings

"Setting up the player and updating with new firmware was quite simple. Unfortunately since the movie industry has not fully supported Blu-Ray 1080p (16:9, 1.77 aspect ratio) format, the benefit of Blu-Ray technology has not been fully realized. Most Blu-Ray videos that I have tested have 2.35 and 1.85 aspect ratios which causes the movie to be letterboxed or ??? - very disappointing. However, this player did play the Blu-Ray DVD's well with the above caveat.

Using the menu to connect to other computers (Windows 7, Vista and XP) on my LAN was surprisingly very easy where it located all folders containing music and pictures on each computer. Selecting music by navigating folders was another pleasant surprise.

Connecting a portable Hard Drive using USB that contained music and pictures just worked without any effort.

The only negative is the limitation on NOT supporting uncompressed music files. IMHO, this weakens the option of using this player to play music contained on computers and/or portable hard drives. It did play MP3 and WMA files that were ripped at low sampling rates fine."

saved me some money!
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance

"i was about to make a pretty big investment to wirelessly connect my pc & tv. i also needed to update my aging pioneer dvd player. while doing some shopping online, i found the lg bd390 & solved both of my problems with one relatively inexpensive purchase!

at first, i was leery because of some quality issues i have had with non-electronic lg products. after reading some other reviews, i decided to buy the bd390 and i am so happy i did. the quality of my unit is excellent. setup on an existing wireless network took less than 10 minutes out of the box. this thing is loaded with bells & whistles & they all work perfectly. i mainly just stream movies from my pc & watch DVDs. the only con i have with my setup is that i often have to reset my wireless connection to initially connect to my pc. after i reset it, i'm good to go until i restart my pc.

overall, i would HIGHLY recommend this product. the pros for this unit outweigh the cons 100X. i am even considering getting a second bd390 for my home."
